Lori rugs are woven by the Lurs people, in the Lorestan province of south western Iran. Lori carpets use mostly geometric patterns, often utilising rhombi, and depict strictly linear scenes of the natural world. This beautiful rug is of this style, but with the repeating square pattern typical of Bakhtiari carpets.
