Double-Knotted Gabbeh (343 x 243cm)
Originally a sleeping rug, the Gabbeh has a thicker, fuller pile compared to some other oriental rugs. The name "Gabbeh" comes from the Persian for "natural" or "uncut". This Gabbeh was hand-knotted in Afghanistan using the Turkish knot.
