The rugs of the Afshari people, like those of the city of Sirjan in which they are often made, are generally defined by their single central medallions that are repeated vertically up and down the rug. This carpet is similar to this typical style, but with three columns of repeating motifs, as well as exhibiting the classic blues and reds typical of Afshari weaving.
